Two Dead Following Tree Collisions at Eldora Mountain Resort Two people died this week after colliding with trees at Eldora Mountain Resort. According to a news release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), the first incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 28), when a snowboarder crashed into a tree on the Jolly Jug Trail. Authorities, including BCSO deputies, ski patrol and rescue personnel from Northern Colorado Medevac, attempted rescue efforts and transported the 26-year-old male to the ski resort's first aid room, with a helicopter on stand-by. Unfortunately, the snowboarder was unable to survive his injuries, and authorities pronounced him dead at the scene around 4:40 p.m.
