Two Marijuana Grow Operations get Special Use Permit approva

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Planning Commission approved special use permit requests on three marijuana related items during Monday night’s meeting.
The one which resulted in a nearly hour long discussion came from Yuma Way of Colorado as they were seeking a Special Land Use Permit which was needed to establish a proposed Recreational Marijuana Grow operation at 127 Industrial Avenue.
That request drew negative responses from a pair of nearby businesses.
Putnam Machine Products President and General Manager Rob Putnam felt the grow facility will give off a “horrible smell” and that his business will be forced to relocate should the marijuana grow facility’s smell not be mitigated.
