The TBI said Mohamed Gure and Mohamed Osman were arrested after a joint investigation with the Tennessee Comptrollerâs office. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Mohamed Gure and Mohamed Osman TBI officials said the investigation began in November 2020 when agents were asked to investigate theft allegations involving MTSUâs Somali Student Association and Muslim Student Association. Investigators said Gure and Osman, two leaders of the student groups, are accused of âfraudulently obtainingâ more than $114,000 in student activity fee payments from the university.
