Two solar projects to benefit local cranberry farmers set to go in Carver Wicked Local CARVER – The first solar projects to be built over cranberry bogs call Carver home and are on schedule to be developed by the end of this year. Pine Gate Renewables, a solar development company based in North Carolina, announced April 6 that the company has closed financing on the two dual-use projects that are making history. The solar projects – one off Tremont Street and the other off Rochester Road – will bring a total of 7 megawatts of solar energy and storage capacity to the state while also maintaining the ground for cranberry farming.
