The University of Virginia will loosen temporary restrictions on students following a sharp decline in recent coronavirus cases on campus, officials said Friday.
The school imposed limits on gatherings and other social activities earlier this month after a surge in cases. On Feb. 16, 229 cases were recorded during a single day.
Twenty-six incidents of the virus were recorded Wednesday, according to the most recent data made available by the university.
