UI engineering professor honored by Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association By: Brian Morelli | 2020.12.31 | 08:37 am A University of Iowa professor of civil and environmental engineering was honored with the Outstanding Contribution Award as part of the United States-Korea Conference: Sustainable Development & The Future. Hosin “David” Lee Hosin “David” Lee, a native of South Korea, was selected by the honors and awards committee of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA). The award is given to one person annually with both an outstanding professional career and significant contributions to KSEA. Lee directs the Laboratory for Advanced Construction Technology (LACT) at the Iowa Technology Institute, which is part of the UI College of Engineering. He researches new technologies in transportation engineering, sustainable civil infrastructure design, civil and construction materials, and sustainable pavement materials.
