Farmers protest | Photo Credit: IANS London/ New Delhi: India, on Tuesday, condemned a debate by some British lawmakers over the ongoing farmers' protest in India and said that the debate, held on Monday evening inside the British parliamentary premises was based on 'false assertions' and in a 'distinctly one-sided discussion'. "We deeply regret that rather than a balanced debate, false assertions -- without substantiation or facts -- were made, casting aspersions on the largest functioning democracy in the world and its institutions," the High Commission of India in London said in a statement.
