Unannounced Resident Evil 4 Remake Reportedly Overhauled, May Not Release Till 2023 Resident Evil 4. Studio M-Two, who previously had a hand in 2020’s remake of Resident Evil 3, reportedly now has “significantly reduced” involvement in the project, and mainline Resident Evil studio Capcom Division 1 is taking over. The reasoning for this change is that Capcom and M-Two reportedly have had disagreements regarding the direction of the Resident Evil 4 remake. Some fans were disappointed with how last year’s Resident Evil 3 left out notable parts of the original. As a result, M-Two wanted the remake of Resident Evil 4 to be more faithful to the original game.
