The land could see the erection of a house with associated parking and amenity spaces. According to the design and access statement for the application the site is an area of unused garden to the rear of 1 and 1a on Stockton Road, Darlington, and is overgrown and regularly used for fly tipping. lIn road works this week, Darlington Borough Council is announcing the temporary road closure of Morton Park Way. The closure will be from the north side of its junction with Morton Road northwards for 200 metres. An alternative route will be signposted via Yarm Road, A66, Tornado Way. The works are being carried out to install a drainage system and resurface the road and are set to be in place for a maximum of 18 months.
