Premier Doug Ford declared a state of emergency and a stay-at-home order, during his update on Tuesday. The stay-at-home order will be in effect as of January 14. Residents will be required to stay home and only venture out for essential trips like to the grocery store, to access health services, or if they are an essential worker that must head out. The province will be restricting gatherings to a maximum of five people, and everyone is encouraged to wear a mask outside as well when physical distancing cannot be guaranteed.
