Three suspects are in custody following an incident that occurred in Espanola on Thursday morning (Jan. 21), according to provincial police.
The OPP has not released any details about the incident, but reports suggest a possible shooting occurred at a residence on Albert Street resulting in one person being airlifted to Health Sciences North.
A neighbour in the area told The Sudbury Star that an individual had been shot in the shoulder at a nearby “drug house.”
Manitoulin OPP and the Anishinabek Police Service were on scene investigating the incident. Witnesses reported seeing canine and tactical units in the area.
