Flood warnings and watches have expired or been canceled in the GLOW region as earlier flood waters have receded on a day the saw a record rainfall in Rochester. Rain was continuing across the region tonight, though lood waters have receded and most of the previously closed roadways have reopened, the Weather Service said just before 7 tonight when the urban area and small stream flood warning was expired. The warning include Genesee, northwestern Livingston, Orleans, northwestern Wyoming, northeastern Genesee, northwestern Monroe and Niagara counties. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat, the Weather Service said. The flash flood watch that was in effect for much of upstate New York was canceled earlier tonight.
