Updated: Tomah man dies in motorcycle crash May 10, 2021 11:49 AM Jourdan Vian Updated: William M. Nelson, 29, Tomah died at the scene, according to authorities. The department received a report of a motorcycle crash at 10:08 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, deputies located a 2002 Suzuki GSF 600 in the north ditch. The driver had been ejected from the motorcycle after it overturned going into the ditch and was injured. He succumbed to his injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. Highway 16 was closed for over an hour and the incident remains under investigation. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Monroe County 911 Communications Center, Monroe County Medical Examiner, Tomah Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Oakdale Fire Department, Tomah Area Ambulance Service, Tomah Rescue Technicians and Gundersen Air.
