Now, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association has cancelled New York State championships for the 2020-21 season and a start date for some sort of season still hangs in the balance.

For Lansingburgh, the priority has been to get students back into the classroom, then get them back on the court.
“Since the beginning of the school year, our intentions as a district were to open all of our buildings. With the notice of our state aid getting held back, we were unable to do that and right now we only have one building that is currently in-person instruction, Turnpike Elementary school,” said Lansingburgh Athletic Director Sean Colfer. “The rest of our grades, 3-12, are completely remote.”
