A US court has acceded to the request of Pakistani-origin Canadian businessman Tahawwur Rana, who is sought for his involvement in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack, to file an additional reply against his extradition to India. The in-person extradition hearing of 59-year-old Rana, who has been declared a fugitive by India, is scheduled for April 12. The United States has supported India's request for his extradition to India. US District Court Judge in Los Angeles Jacqueline Chooljian, in his brief order on Wednesday, said: Rana shall file a surreply of no more than 20 pages by not later than April 5. The government may, but is not required to file any surrebuttal to the surreply, which may not exceed 20 pages, by not later than April 12, the judge said.
