The goal of Inria Saclay Centre's new team is to combine biological data and mathematical tools to advance life sciences. In particular, MERGE, the team is pursuing its research drawing on over a decade of studies in mathematical modelling and digital simulation led by the researcher Marie Doumic and her colleagues in the area of telomere shortening (chromosome ends); a crucial issue in biology and medicine.
