A Utah man has been charged with aggravated abuse of a disabled adult after he left a disabled woman locked in a hot car. Richard Young, 66, argued with the victim in Murray City on Friday then “turned the car off, took his keys, and said ‘Have a nice life,’ as he walked away,” leaving the unidentified woman with no way to get out of the vehicle, ABC4 Utah reported. Court documents say she was in the car for 15 to 20 minutes with the windows rolled up, unable to get out of her electric wheelchair or disconnect it from the vehicle. The high temperature in Murray City on Friday was 101. The Murray City Fire Department was called to the scene, and they got her out safely.
