REGIONAL — Four residents each in Nobles and Rock counties received positive COVID-19 results during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Thursday, while Murray and Pipestone counties each reported three new cases and Cottonwood and Jackson counties each reported one new case. The information was provided in a Friday morning update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
The new cases are among 1,453 statewide during the single-day reporting period. The cumulative total of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota now stands at 585,677 (positive and antigen tests), with 564,326 beyond the 10-day isolation period. Thus far, 41,822 Minnesota healthcare workers have contracted the virus.
