More than a quarter of people aged 45 and over in Dorset have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal. NHS data shows 93,774 people had received both jabs by April 25 – 29% of those aged 16 and over, based on the latest population estimates from the Office for National Statistics. Of those to have received both jabs, 84,292 were aged 45 and over – 39% of the age group. It means 9,482 people aged between 16 and 44 have received both doses. The figures also show 241,530 people in Dorset have received at least one jab – 76% of those aged 16 and over. It comes as the Government announced an extra 60 million doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus jab have been secured for a booster vaccination programme in the autumn.
