Femino said he’s “lucky to get the vaccine, but every day is a lucky day.” (Breeze photo by Charles Lawrence) SMITHFIELD – Last Saturday 110 high-risk Smithfield residents received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, with more than 600 residents aged 75 years and older on the waiting list, according to Town Manager Randy Rossi. Smithfield High School serves as the northern region’s distribution location for vaccines for Smithfield and eight other communities, and 1,116 vaccinations were distributed last Saturday. Each vaccine requires a second dose 28 days after the first shot.
