The Broomfield, Colorado-based company said it had net income of $3.62 per share. The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.19 per share. The ski resort operator posted revenue of $684.6 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $623.3 million. Vail Resorts shares have increased 9.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $305.49, a rise of 96% in the last 12 months.
