Vicki Lynn Von Schaaf, 75, of Harrison, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Vicki was born on October 7, 1945 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA to the late John Graham and Tommie Conley Waitt. Vicki was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Vicki had a Master’s Degree in Nursing and taught Nursing at Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing until its closing. In 1982 she and her best friend, Susan Byrne RN, moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL, and she worked in labor and delivery at Plantation Hospital. They moved back to Chattanooga in 1989 where Vicki taught LPN at Chattanooga State until her retirement in 2017. Vicki loved teaching and if you were to ask her students, they would tell you how wonderful and caring she was to her students and patients. She was a Tennessee Vol fan especially girls basketball and she and Susan loved fishing.
