Heavy rain has caused flooding in parts of Victoria with more than 500 callouts made for emergency help and three rescues due to flash flooding. The State Emergency Service (SES) responded to the hundreds of calls for help after the rain set in overnight, most of which came in between 5.30am and 11.30am today, but continued throughout the afternoon. The SES responded to three flood rescues as a result of people driving through flood waters, operations manager Josh Gamble said it was "disappointing" people continued despite warnings. "Responding agencies put our lives and our equipment at risk trying to get to these people," Mr Gamble said.
