A Vietnam based educational technology company, Virtual Internships, has raised $2.5 million in a round led by Sequoia Capital India’s accelerator program Surge, according to Tech in Asia. Established in 2018 by two British men Daniel Nivern and Edward Holroyd Pearce, Virtual Internships collaborates with universities, schools, state agencies, and companies to offer students and employees upskilling courses, mentor coaching, and guaranteed remote work placements. The company runs programs across 18 disciplines and works to help young people kickstart their careers and improve their digital skills.
