PEOPLE across Keighley are being urged to maintain their vigilance over the festive period in the battle against Covid-19. Bradford Council leader, Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, says it’s vital that everyone adheres to the regulations designed to stop the spread of the virus. Her comments come after the Government announced that planned Christmas bubbles of up to three households would now only be allowed on Christmas Day instead of across a five-day period, in Tier 1 to 3 areas. Councillor Hinchcliffe also voiced relief that Bradford and the rest of West Yorkshire had not been placed under the new Tier 4 restrictions. She added: “I want to thank everyone in the district for your efforts in keeping the infection rate low. But the infection rate is not going down as quickly as it was, so we need to be on our guard.
