Volunteers To Remove Invasive Plants From Grand Mere State Park Next Week

July 16, 2021
Volunteers will be at Grand Mere State Park next Saturday, July 24 pulling invasive plant species. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says they’ll pull spotted knapweed to help keep native plants thriving. Those who go out for the volunteer stewardship day are advised to wear long sleeves and pants and also bug spray. Since everyone will be working out in the sun, volunteers should also bring water and a hat. Everyone will gather where Willow and Rosemary drives meet at noon. You can register to help via email here: LeslieE1@michigan.gov.
