A church in Coweta opened its doors for walk-in vaccinations Monday, but supplies did not last long. The Wagoner County Health Department said this is the first time it's done something like this, but because Oklahoma is moving into a new vaccination phase, it's also likely the last. More than 200 people came to the Coweta Assembly of God church to get vaccinated after the health department announced it had extra COVID-19 vaccination doses. Kaitlan Thatcher with the Health Department said the vaccines were about to expire and the extra doses were due to a lack of signups. "We still had quite a bit leftover, so we decided to just go for walk-in and see how it went," Thatcher said.
