People queued outside supermarkets earlier today ahead of the weekend lockdown.
However, some of the shoppers in Bridgetown, Collymore Rock and Wildey, St Michael and some in St James who spoke to
Nation News said they had anticipated the lines. Although there were long lines, most people followed social distancing protocols.
Government had implemented an initial National Pause from February 3 to 17 to fight the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). During the pause supermarkets closed at 4 p.m.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley announced on Monday that the National Pause would be extended to February. She called on Barbadians to reflect on their behaviour and warned the directive would be enforced.
