SAULT STE. MARIE — The War Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees took action on Friday to enter into negotiations for a nonbinding letter of intent with MidMichigan Health.
MidMichigan Health is a non-profit health system, headquartered in Midland, which covers a 23-county region. The health system also includes urgent care centers, home health, virtual care, physicians, as well as medical offices in more than 30 specialties and subspecialties.
“A part of downtown Sault Ste. Marie for more than 100 years, War Memorial has a strong history of providing exceptional services to its patients and community,” said David Jahn, president and CEO, War Memorial Hospital. “However, health care has and continues to evolve and we want to ensure we are positioned successfully to give our patients and community the very best care they deserve for the next 100 years and beyond.”
