OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Health on Thursday adopted the latest mask guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, eliminating masks in most places for fully vaccinated people. Fully vaccinated people are those who are two weeks past their last required COVID-19 vaccine dose. The new guidance calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but helps clear the way for reopening workplaces, schools and other venues.
