The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ( BBMP) has resumed the work on filling up potholes, which was briefly suspended following rainfall early this month. According to the traffic police survey, the roads are filled with at least 6,664 potholes while about 164 stretches need a complete makeover. The list of potholes was given by traffic inspectors after assessing the road condition in their jurisdictions, it’s learnt. During the first survey, the police identified 608 potholes. The next survey was apparently more rigorous as the traffic police listed at least 6,664 potholes. The civic body has just taken up repair work.
