Ryan Barber, the school division's executive director of student services, told the Waynesboro School Board Tuesday night about the planned Back to School Bash scheduled for this summer. It's been an event in the works for the last couple of years, although the pandemic didn't allow it to happen last summer. "We have a community that struggles at times at back to school," Barber said. "Because when you, as a family, are asked to buy shoes and then get a haircut and they want the latest clothing and book bags and supplies and scissors and glue, it can be a significant burden on families."
