They work in teams. They will distract their victim so the other person can reach into a purse, steal a wallet steal credit cards and they are quick. Deanna deurante, nbc 10 news. Deanna was out on a very comfortable day, the second of those in a row. But things are changing. We are about to get into a heat wave and the humidity going up as well. Some showers in the forecast for saturday, certainly not a washout. But you can get relief from the heat and humidity at the shore and the poconos over the weekend. Lot of sunshine out there at least in parts of the area. 82 degrees, the wind out of the south at 13 miles an hour. We will have that southerly wind tomorrow as well. Upper 70s into the low 80s but that southeast wind we are seeing today is helping keep things cooler right at the beaches. You can see the wind flow here, the ocean temperature is 73. 76 in lewes, delaware. 78 in beach haven. The last report was 74 degrees in Atlantic City right on the boardwalk. Its a whole lot hotter back to the west. Its all about the wind direction. If you have a southeast to south wind, it stays comfortable. You got a southwest wind. 94 degrees, 95 in des moines iowa. We dont need a whole lot of wind to push some really really hot air into this region. We do have more clouds starting to come in but the showers are farther back to the west and they are certainly not impressive or threatening or however you want to call it. But by tomorrow morning we showed you a few showers later tonight earlier and now this particular computer model showing pretty heavy shower or storm, delaware south jersey first thing in the morning. But thats the exception, not the rule for tomorrow. Much of the day as you can see is rainfree. That allows the temperature to get near 90 but with the heat of the day in the afternoon we get a few showers popping up maybe a thunderstorm and then that falls apart. Then drier air comes in. So just because sundays going to be hot and humid does not necessarily mean there are going to be a lot of thunderstorms around. You need more ingredients than heat and humidity. Here we are on sunday. 8 00 a. M. Its already in the 80s and then as we go into the afternoon, this particular model takes us up to 98 degrees. Nowhere near that at the shore with the southerly wind. Its in the 80s. 80s is still fairly warm for the jersey shore. Thats 86 there. But nothing like 96. Cooler on saturday because of that stronger south wind and just a chance of a shower as you saw there possibly even in the morning. Its also going to be warm with some thunderstorms in the poconos on saturday but again, way, way more comfortable than what we are seeing in the inland areas. You can see the heat once it builds up is going to stay with us and if anything it will continue to increase. Over the next few days. Then next week its fairly hot but the humidity starts coming down. More humid tonight with scattered showers developing generally after midnight. 71 for the low in philadelphia. Tomorrow, its going to be a good bit hotter and with the increased humidity it will feel about mid 90s. It felt like 83 today. Thats a pretty good jump. Theres a chance of showers, could be one or two in the morning and later in the afternoon. Much of the day is dry. Some folks may not get any rain at all tomorrow or over the weekend at all. Theres the feeling like 103 on sunday afternoon with that high of 96. It can be the hottest day of the summer. Mondays another hot one with the best chance of thunderstorms and then its hot but not quite as humid the rest of next week. Today nasa released the latest photos of pluto.
