First stop, capitol hill, where he will push Senate Republicans to get behind the tax reform plan with more than a dozen senators expressing doutd expret now. Later this afternoon, the president is back at the white house, where he will meet with leaders of both parties to discuss the rest of his agenda. The president adding urgency to all of it. Hopefully republican senators will give us the muchneeded tax cuts to keep it all going. Democrats want big tax increases. In just a few hours, President Trump heads to the hill, where hell make a hard sell for tax reform. It will be a tremendous tax cut. The biggest in the history of our country. Reporter overnight, some gop senators acknowledging they have concerns about the bill in its current form. A report from the Congressional Budget Office found the bill could cause middle income americans to pay more. Are you going to vote for this bill . I dont know. I have concerns on the deficit side. Reporter in order to pass the bill, Senate Republicans can only afford to lose two votes. And right now, at least one senator, ron johnson, is a no. We need more information. But well keep working on this. We need to pass real tax reform. Reporter the legislative battle coming amid a fresh firestorm for the white house, after President Trump made this controversial comment during a white house ceremony honoring navajo code talkers, Navy American veterans who helped win world war ii.
