Above average temperatures and sunny days this week will usher in a rainy weekend, but the long-range outlook looks good for the reopening of restaurant terrasses on May 28, Environment Canada meteorologist André Cantin said Tuesday.
May 2021 has been unusually dry, Cantin noted, with less than 5 millimetres falling so far. But there is still time to get a little closer to the average cumulative rainfall level for May. That is just over 80 millimetres, based on averages calculated from 1981 to 2010.
