Weather: Rain, wind gusts, and thunderstorms expected in Columbus area

Several rounds of rain — punctuated by thunder, downpours and wind gusts — will push across central Ohio in the next three days, bringing a soggy start to the week.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington is forecasting up to a half-inch of rain Monday — welcome news for farmers, but not so much for soccer clubs, cyclists and lawn mowers.
The chance of rain is 90% according to the weather service. Wind gusts of more than 20 mph are expected after 2 p.m.
Rain expected through Wednesday
The soggy, breezy conditions, typical for April, will ease up after midnight with rain tapering off.
The chance of rain Tuesday drops to 60% with sporadic thunderstorms bringing heavy rain but minimal overall rainfall totals of up to a tenth of an inch.
