What visitors can expect when York attractions reopen

ATTRACTION operators in York are counting down the days until they can once again welcome back visitors.
Jorvik Group which runs Jorvik Viking Centre, Barley Hall and DIG, enabling people to explore York's colourful past, have made changes to their experiences ahead of reopening.
Measures to support social distancing at Jorvik last summer proved popular, prompting more permanent changes to how visitors move through the venue.
Beth Dawes, marketing manager for the Jorvik Group, said: “This last lockdown has been incredibly hard for everyone in the visitor attraction economy, but we are hopeful that public confidence in venturing back out into towns and cities will bode well for attractions like ours, as well as the hotels, restaurants and cafés that makes a day trip or a short break so enjoyable.
