A 34-year-old man who allegedly robbed a TV reporter of his camera at gunpoint — while the reporter was preparing a story about robbery — was arrested and jailed in San Francisco, police said.
The suspect, Ronald Whitten, was arrested in the 200 block of Randolph Street and booked into county jail for possession of stolen property, police said on Tuesday.
The robbery occurred on Wednesday, shortly after noon, when KPIX reporter Don Ford was interviewing people at Twin Peaks Boulevard and Burnett Avenue about car break-ins. A white sedan pulled up, Ford said.
