9 & 10 News May 6, 2021 Governor Gretchen Whitmer made several stops in Northern Michigan Thursday, overseeing a road project in Clare, a bill signing in Traverse City and then toured a vaccination site in Petoskey. With the new ‘MI Vacc to Normal’ plan, restrictions across the state are lifted as the vaccination rate increases. So far, more than half of the state’s eligible Michiganders have gotten at least one shot but that pace is slowing. As the vaccination rate slows, the return to normal seems further away. “I think our modeling always told us, at some point we are going to see our supply eclipse demand,” Governor Whitmer said, “That’s what’s happening.”
