Certainly in the UK, where more than 68 per cent of the population has had a first jab and 37 per cent their second, hospitalisations have plateaued and deaths have dropped to a handful a day. It’s the same story in Israel, where 78 per cent of citizens are fully vaccinated and the current seven-day infection rate is 2 per 100,000 people.
