For the last 47 years he has been in the banking business. At the same time he spent the last 26 years as chief of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department. There was even a 14 year span when he was a Daviess County Commissioner. The idea of Wichman stepping back from anything almost seems foreign. But he says that at the end of this year he is leaving banking.
