Wintry weather has Pike, Greene in its sights FacebookTwitterEmail A storm system moving toward Illinois is expected to bring wintry conditions to west-central Illinois starting Monday afternoon. The projected path will be through Pike County into Greene and Macoupin counties and other locations to the south. A winter weather advisory is in effect for those counties and Calhoun and Jersey counties from 3 p.m. to midnight. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are likely, with higher amounts in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Although snow totals are expected to be lower in Morgan, Cass, Sangamon, Schuyler and Scott counties, a hazardous weather outlook is in effect for those counties.
