Wisconsin DNR unit seeks nominees for Invader Crusaders who fight invasive species March 16, 2021 7:59 PM Mike Tighe MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) – Anyone who has preyed on invasive species that prey on Wisconsin’s native wildlife, wetlands, forests prairies, lakes and rivers can become an official Invader Crusader in an annual contest. The Wisconsin Invasive Species Council, an advisory group to the state Department of Natural Resources is accepting nominations for Invader Crusaders through March 29. The council presents awards in volunteer and professional categories for those who have made significant contributions to prevent, control or eradicate invasive species. To nominate an individual or organization, download and complete a nomination form from the Invader Crusader webpage and email the completed form to Invasive.Species@wisconsin.gov by March 29.
