WNC sees record homes sales for June; prices continue rising, while housing stock dwindles Anjali Patel According to the Canopy Realtor Association, 1,296 homes were sold across the 13 counties in WNC this June -- a 24.4% increase compared to June 2020 sales, and a record number of transactions for any June on record here. Mike Figura, the broker and owner of Mosaic Realty based in Asheville, said the high demand has been keeping him and others in the real estate business very busy this summer. "It was the most I've ever seen in my career here," Figura said, referring to the record June home sales.
