Wolverine recruiting report: The battle for 4-star defensive end Joe Strickland Updated Apr 08, 2021; Facebook Share With the recruiting dead period potentially ending May 31, Michigan is beginning to set up official visits with 2022 prospects. One of those recruits is Indianapolis Brebeuf Jesuit four-star defensive end Joe Strickland, who is scheduled to visit the weekend of June 19th. In-person recruiting has been banned since March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the NCAA Football Oversight Committee has recommended the dead period transition to a “quiet period” on June 1 so schools can host recruits on campus and conduct camps, according to CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd.
