Woman ‘really kind of proud’ to refurbish and donate violins to those in need Updated Mar 11, 2021; MUSKEGON, MI – Nicole Hudson’s kitchen table is covered in worn-out violins, clamps, glue and pieces of wood. The Muskegon-area woman brings new life to broken violins by refurbishing and donating them to those in need. The project started about a decade ago when Hudson was a bus driver for Fruitport Community Schools. A student who’s family was homeless confided in Hudson that she would like to play the violin. Hudson bought a $10 violin from eBay, fixed it up and worked with the district to gift it to the girl.
