There was a puddle of blood on the footpath when emergency services arrived about 7.20pm on Friday at the unit complex on Riverway Drive in the Townsville suburb of Condon in north Queensland. The 29-year-old victim was rushed from the Department of Housing apartment block to Townsville Hospital, where she was declared dead about 9pm on Friday.
