Woolworths given the green light to open a Dan Murphy's mega

Woolworths' controversial plan to open a Dan Murphy's megastore in Darwin has been approved by the Northern Territory government despite community concerns.
The proposed bottle shop, the largest in the NT, has been repeatedly slammed by health groups that say it could be devastating for nearby Indigenous dry communities.
NT's Director of Liquor Licensing was given a December 20 deadline to make a decision and approved the liquor store application on Friday.
