WORCESTER – A Worcester man was indicted in federal court in connection with illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition. Barry Jumpp, 29, was indicted on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. On Jan. 7, law enforcement arrested Jumpp in Worcester on an unrelated warrant. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant, carrying a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property over $1,200. Police said Jumpp possessed a 9 mm pistol and 14 rounds of ammunition at the time of his arrest. Jumpp was prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition due to a prior felony conviction.
