A joint venture between SABIC and Plastic Energy has awarded Worley the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract for a new advanced plastics unit.
The SABIC Plastic Energy Advanced Recycling unit, located in Geleen, the Netherlands, will leverage Plastic Energy’s patented recycling technology to transform plastics waste destined for incineration or landfill into recycled oils. These will then be used by SABIC to upscale production of certified circular polymers.
Worley will execute the EPCM contract through its UK and Dutch offices with support from its Global Integrated Delivery team in India. The term of the contract is two years.
